Doing Education as science.

This cluster is devoted to understanding educational ideas, systems of knowledge, institutions, and practices in different national, cultural, and political contexts. By employing historical and comparative approaches and a broad range of methodologies, it focuses on anthropological foundations and cultural performances of education, asks how values and norms are embodied in policies and practices of education, and aims to develop new concepts designed to improve the theoretical knowledge of education.
